What I cover

Creator hardware: microphones, cameras, capture cards, lighting (Rode, DJI, and more). I test in both a treated room and a real bedroom so the numbers mean something.

How I test

I record the same script on each mic in two rooms, measure self-noise and off-axis rejection, and note exactly which unit was provided by a vendor (E2b) vs bought (E2a). See our sample policy on the disclosure page.
